What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

TaskTram is provided by etaDit Solutions Private Limited, 1297, Hare Krishna Vihar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India (CIN U72900MP2018PTC045466) ("etaDit", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit tasktram.com or use the TaskTram app.
Two roles we play
For your account details and our website, we decide how data is used. For the content your organisation puts into TaskTram (boards, tasks, comments, files), your organisation decides, and we process it on its behalf under our terms.
What we collect
- Account details: name, work email, profile photo and the organisation you belong to.
- Your content: boards, tasks, comments, files and other material you or your teammates add.
- Billing details: company name, address, GST number and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.
- Usage and device data: sign-in times, browser type, IP address and error reports, used to keep the service secure and working.
- Messages you send us: through the contact form or email.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: signing you in, showing your organisation's work, sending notifications.
- To bill for paid plans and meet tax and accounting rules.
- To keep TaskTram secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To reply to you and, if you agree, tell you about product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use your content to advertise to you.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run TaskTram, under contracts that protect your data: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, database, file storage and sign-in), our payment provider for paid plans, and Hostinger for email and for this website. We may also disclose data when Indian law requires it.
Where it is stored
On Google Cloud in Mumbai, India (asia-south1). Each organisation's data is kept separate from every other organisation's, and access is limited to its own members.
How we protect it
- Encrypted in transit: the website, the app and every connection between the app and our database use HTTPS (TLS).
- Encrypted at rest: your data, files and backups are stored encrypted (AES-256) on Google Cloud.
- Organisations kept apart: access rules on the database itself stop one organisation from reading another's data, and only members of a board can see that board's tasks, comments and files.
- Backups: we back up the database every day and keep each backup for 14 days, so we can recover from mistakes or failures.
- Limited staff access: only authorised etaDit staff who need it to run the service can access our cloud systems, and only to provide support you ask for, keep the service secure, or meet a legal requirement.
TaskTram is not end-to-end encrypted: our systems can read your content so that features such as search, notifications and previews work. No method of storing data online is completely secure, but we work to protect yours and will tell affected organisations without undue delay if a breach affects their data.
How long we keep it
While your organisation uses TaskTram. After an organisation is closed, we delete its content within 90 days, except billing records we must keep under tax law.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as panel widths and currency. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. If your account belongs to an organisation, we may refer your request to that organisation's admin.
